About BOLTCADE
BOLTCADE is a small, independent arcade for the gaps in your day — the two minutes in a queue, the pause between meetings, the wind-down before bed. Four quick games, each easy to grasp and a little deeper than it looks.
What we make
We build short browser games that you can understand in a glance and finish in a couple of minutes. Nothing to install, no account to create, and no timers nagging you to come back. The whole arcade runs in a single page and works the same on a phone as it does on a laptop.
The “familiar, with a twist” idea
Plenty of quick games copy each other. We start from a format you already recognise and change one core rule so the game feels new the moment you play it: a word game that never stops and races the clock; a merge puzzle that counts to three instead of two; a spotting game where you already know the answer and the crowd is the challenge; and a timing game about precision rather than speed. The goal is something that reads instantly and still surprises you.
How the games are built
Every game here is designed and coded by us. The artwork is simple, original vector and emoji-based graphics rather than licensed characters or third-party assets, and the words, puzzles, and rules are our own. We would rather ship four things we are proud of than a shelf of near-duplicates.
Our quality bar
We hold ourselves to a few simple standards. Games should be playable with a keyboard and by touch, readable on a small screen, and respectful of reduced-motion settings. There are no dark patterns, no manipulative streak-loss mechanics, and no pressure to spend — because there is nothing to buy. If we ever run advertising to support the site, we intend to keep it light and clearly separated from the games.
Who is behind it
BOLTCADE is made by an independent developer who likes small, honest games. If you have feedback, found a bug, or just want to say hello, the door is open — head to the contact page and send a note.
